WHAT IS PEA?

  • PEA is a dietary supplement on the basis of Palmitoylethanolamide, a substance that is produced naturally within the body to combat inflammation. 
  • Outside the body, it can be found in soybean lecithin, egg yolk, peanut meal and other foods.
  • PEA is also available as a supplement to help with chronic and neuropathic pain relief.

DOSAGE AND HOW TO TAKE PEA

Take during or after a meal. With your professional health advisor’s approval, start off with 3 x 400mg PEA capsules, either given three times daily, or two capsules in the morning and one capsule in the evening. Note that it may take up to eight weeks for the full pain relieving effects of Palmitoylethanolamide to be noted. 

If, after 2 months, the desired effect has been achieved, the dosage can be reduced to 2 capsules, one in the morning, and one in the evening.

The first things to notice are a general feeling of increased comfort, and a decrease of the intense peaks of pain. In the following weeks responders note a less intense inflammation (less swelling, less temperature differences, less redness or bluishness).
