WHAT IS AHCC?

Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) is a natural substance made from specially cultivated and hybridized medicinal mushrooms containing bioactive, low molecular weight hexose molecules. This brand of Active Hexose Correlated Compound is made to our manufacturer's own formula in China, and has been tested to have an AHCC content of 40%, which is double the amount of many other brands. HOW DOES AHCC WORK?

You have two basic types of immunity: innate and adaptive. Your innate immunity launches an immediate, non-specific attack against a threat. Your adaptive immunity takes longer to kick in, but produces a specific response to a particular microbe. Human clinical trials have shown that AHCC modifies both the innate and adaptive immune response, by:

  • Increasing the production of cytokines (Chemical messengers that help immune cells communicate and coordinate an immune response);
  • Increasing populations of macrophages (white blood cells that engulf and ingest bacteria and cellular debris), in some cases doubling them. 
  • Increasing the number of dendritic cells (white blood cells that present foreign substances to B and T cells), initiating an adaptive response.
  • Increasing the number of B and T cells by as much as 200%. B cells (which mature in bone marrow) and T cells (which mature in the thymus) are lymphocytes, white blood cells that are able to recognize previous invaders and destroy them with a specific response.

DOSAGE AND HOW TO TAKE AHCC

With your professional health advisor’s approval, take: 

CAPSULES: Two x 600mg capsules three times daily.

POWDER: 1200mg of powder (about 1/4 of a teaspoon) three times daily. Mix into a flavoured drink. Use digital scales for 100% accuracy

 

STORAGE

Store in a cool, dry place, do not refrigerate. Keep away from intense light and heat.
